I am an experienced designer, pattern cutter, and maker. Since early 2015 I have been working as a bespoke tailor and dressmaker for private clients. I use traditional techniques and do much of my tailoring by hand.
I am fascinated by textiles and, and although my specialism at London College of Fashion was pattern cutting, I have always found a way to experiment with interesting textile applications in my work and over the years have gathered a library of vintage clothing and textiles which are a constant source of inspiration.
Believing in making clothes that are sustainable and last, I like to imagine the clothes I've made someday being heirlooms which have stood the test of time.
In addition to tailoring for private clients on occasion I work in costume for Film and TV productions such as the Netflix production Outlaw King, Disney's The Last Duel and upcoming Apple + series The Essex Serpent.
I also co-run the social enterprise, Clothworks C.I.C, which explores clothes making and mending as a means to encourage and support individual and community empowerment. Please get in touch below with any thoughts, questions, or ideas you may have.
